The Funds raised by our annual Funwalk support the Recreational Program offered by the Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service. The Recreation Program was started in 1999 to enrich the lives of the adults with disabilities who participate in our job training and day programs. Typically these men and women lead full and productive lives during the day, while they are at their workshop, work site or day program. However, in the evenings they frequently find themselves alone and isolated. The Recreation Program fills an important void, by providing regular opportunities for fun and friendship after the day's program and activities are complete.

In 2009-10 we look forward to expanding the Brooklyn Bureau Recreational Program to reach more people, and to provide new activities beyond the current schedule of outings and parties.

To register for Funwalk 2009, please fill out the registration form and e-mail it to kreintamm@bbcs.org. We encourage you to support Funwalk by inviting your friends---friends can join you by registering to walk with you in Funwalk 2009 or simply by supporting your efforts with a contribution!

The Funwalk Registration fee is $10. You may pay online by credit card* or with a cash or check on the day of the event.
